Terms and Conditions

Oxbow Lake Babies and Tots

TERMS AND CONDITIONS (Last Amended 15.12.2025)

Booking operates on a first come, first served basis. Places are not guaranteed; they are subject to availability and will be allocated on receipt of full payment. Payment for the full term (or remainder of term) will provide a discount and a guaranteed place for that term. If you have discussed paying in instalments with Oxbow Lake Babies and Tots it is an agreement that you will pay for the full term, even if a class is missed.

Drop-ins are not guaranteed a space, and do not receive a discount. Drop-ins may only join the class if the register is not full. Drop-ins ideally should book at least the day before the class, but they can turn up on the day and pay in cash, or by bank transfer. However, if the class is full, they will be turned away. Drop-in classes cannot be transferred to a different date than the date booked, and cannot be refunded if missed.

Re-enrolment – your place is guaranteed if payment is received by the advertised date. Places are limited and you must re-enroll even if you are a regular. If you have missed the re-enrolment date and wish to continue with Oxbow Lake Babies and Tots, please contact us as soon as possible.

Refunds/credits are not given once the course has started. If you miss a class due to sickness or holiday it cannot be refunded, transferred or carried over to the next course. If you have paid a termly fee you may be able to attend another class at another venue (in the same term) if there is one available, but this must be booked ahead of time.

Cancellation – if you cancel your place up to 14 days before the course begins Oxbow Lake Babies and Tots shall refund your money but this will be subject to a £15.00 administration fee, no refunds will be made after this period. If you cancel your place during the course then no refund shall be given. Any cancellations due to force majeure, terrorism, war and pandemics will not be refunded.

Sickness – if your baby/child is sick please call and let us know. Please do not bring your baby to Oxbow Lake Babies and Tots if they have been unwell with sickness or diarrhea within 48 hours of your class. If it is likely to be a long term illness then please call and discuss as refunds and credits for long term illnesses are at our discretion and a letter from your GP will be required detailing why the child is unable to continue.

Classes – one adult must attend with each baby/child and they must be supervised at all times. Personal belongings left in or around the building are left at the owner’s risk and Oxbow Lake Babies and Tots accept no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to any property or person whilst on the premises.

Child Protection – Oxbow Lake Babies and Tots takes child protection very seriously and therefore please understand that at no point during your session will photography and filming be allowed of any other children without their parent’s permission.

Cancelled Classes – In the event of a cancelled class, whenever possible Oxbow Lake Babies and Tots will reschedule the class. If a class is rescheduled you will be notified and refunds or credits will not be given where an alternative class is offered. If a class is cancelled for a period which means two or more sessions would be lost, then credits will be given for the following term.

Food and drink – For safety, hygiene, allergies and intolerances no food or drink is to be consumed during the class, please eat and drink away from the mats and blankets and the class space. Mums may feed their babies milk if they require it during the class.

Nappy Change – For hygiene and practicality please change nappies away from the mats and blankets and the class space.

No shoes - To create a clean and safe space for children and babies no shoes are to be worn on any of the mats, cushions or blankets. Please also make sure socks are worn, no bare feet.

Venues- The majority of our venues are pubs and restaurants. As a result Oxbow Lake bring their own mats, blankets and cushions. Oxbow Lake endeavours to keep these clean and safe, and cannot ensure children's or babies' safety crawling or walking around the venue floor. Oxbow Lake suggests keeping babies and children on the mats they have provided to make sure they are safe to crawl and explore.

Lost property – will be kept for 28 days as securely as possible. If unclaimed after this time then it will be disposed of accordingly. Oxbow Lake Babies and Tots accepts no responsibility for lost property.

Complaints – if you have any complaints about any of our classes then please contact us as soon as possible. We welcome all feedback, and would like the opportunity to rectify any problems, if at all possible.

DBS Checks – All of our teachers have an up to date DBS certificate (Background check).

Quality – Oxbow Lake Babies and Tots aim to provide safe, quality classes that build confidence and ability whilst being an enjoyable and fun experience for you and your baby/child. We welcome any constructive comments. Safety is at all times our paramount concern.

Disclaimer – Parents/carers take full responsibility for their child at all times.
